I Voted...

Today, I walked five minutes to the end of the street and voted at my assigned polling place AGAINST North Carolina Amendment 1. Let us all hope and pray that this discriminatory amendment is shot down. This witch says NO to oppression. 

 

The Mill

There is a little boutique type mall of local shops in my little town that is inside a converted old cotton mill that was built in 1898. Some years later they expanded the structure, and it now also holds the local co-op grocery that my husband and I are members of and shop at frequently. For many years in the early 1900's the mill was the hub of the towns economy and existence, coupled with the railroad. Of course it is no longer the hub of our economy, but rather the local university is.

The mill I sense is quite active spirit wise. Although, to truly decipher whether it is active, residual, or both would take some further investigating.

The photo is of one of the doors inside the original structure. I pass through this portal several times a week on my way to the co-op.

Tea Time!

I just love tea! It is a common love among many Pagans. This cup contains a lovely brew of Twinings Mint Black tea with a splash of soy milk creamer and a touch of sugar. A teacup is a common site on the desk of this witch!

A Witch's Bag

Most people have their bag o' stuff they carry around with them. In today's world a bag is a necessary daily item both a piece of wardrobe and a tool. Whether is a purse, man-purse, roomy lap-top bag, backpack, etc. it is key for survival! That is my story and I'm sticking to it. So for today's window into the life of a witch, I present to you my black canvas messenger bag and it's current contents for the day!

At the top, the celestial fabric is actually a tarot reading cloth, and my cards are wrapped up inside it. A yellow legal notepad, on top of which is my purple business card case. Under my datebook is my Minister's Credential badge. A small notepad with "believe" printed on the front with a tiny pen. The green pouch holds a large quartz point...........and a ball of yarn. Yes, I knit.

Daily Divination

Divination is one of my fortes and each day I do a tarot or oracle card reading for myself as well. Sort of a heads up for focus from the Universe. Here is my chosen deck for the day, Earth Magic Oracle Cards by Steven Farmer, all fanned out and ready to draw from.

Work that Mojo!

What witches' home is complete without (several) altars?! Here is a bit of blessing (of all types and levels) mojo on one of the altars in the house! Jai Ma Laxmi!

Cozy Socks!

The weather here in my area has been so inconsistent lately. Two days ago it was in the mid to high 80's and today the high is 48. This witch dug out his warm cozy socks!
